Chow Locally's Refund Policy

We are devoted to providing you with the best local products we can find from the community farmers and vendors you know and trust. Keep in mind that we are often working with natural items. Therefore, differences in characteristics like color, size, taste, shape, texture and more are not only common but SHOULD BE EXPECTED. We encourage you to inspect your items before leaving the pick-up station to ensure you have received the quality you expect. It is MUCH easier for us to address any issues while you are still present with the items.

We carefully inspect all items before packing and will never intentionally send you off with an item that has a defect that would impact its quality or safety.

However, if you do find that an item you have received is not to your satisfaction, please save the item and contact us as soon as you discover the problem so we may quickly refund, replace (if possible), or credit you for the price of the item, subject to a few conditions:

  • Perishable item: we are unable to replace the item, provide a refund, or credit you for the item after 24 hours have passed since pick-up.
  • Non-perishable items: we are unable to replace the item, provide a refund, or credit you for the item once the container it is in has been opened.
  • Similarly, we are unable to replace items, provide a refund, or credit you for items if the unsatisfactory condition was the result of an event that occurred after you picked items up from us (i.e. you left your box of produce in the trunk of your car on a hot day.)

Rarely, a farmer or vendor may experience a situation beyond their control that makes their product un-sellable or unavailable after it has been purchased through our site and before you have come to pick it up. In that event, you will be promptly notified. We will be happy to remedy the situation in one of the following ways: 1) you may choose to have the price of any affected items from your order refunded 2) you may choose to have the item replaced (if possible), or 3) you may be credited the full value of the item. If we replace any item, we will strive to be sure it is of similar quality and value with no additional cost to you.
