Wicked Raw Foods was started by Jason Powers and Andrea Pirkey in October of 2011. Jason and Andrea were introduced to raw food in June of 2011, after being vegan for almost three years. They went on to eat a high raw diet for the next three months, and felt incredible amounts of energy from their food. This experience prompted them to start making snack foods that were satisfying to the taste buds and nourishing to the body.

Wicked Raw Foods uses certified organic ingredients, as well as locally grown organic ingredients. Special care was taken when choosing ingredients. Their raw Italian almonds are truly raw, never pasteurized. Local Medjool dates are used in all products as a sweetener, mixed with organic raw agave. Other local ingredients include organic pecans, organic oranges and organic raw mesquite flour. Specialty ingredients such as acai powder, chia seeds, hemp hearts, cacao nibs and lucuma powder add great flavor as well as extra nutrition to their product. All nuts and seeds are soaked and dried for optimum taste and digestion. Their granola is bagged in a compostable bag made from 40% recycled kraft paper, lined with a compostable film made from plants.
